Glow Beauty Studio in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico

I love pampering myself with manicures, pedicures, facials, massages, etc.  So, when a new spa or salon opens in the area, I’m the first in line.

Glow Beauty Studio is in Central Park in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico.  It is a small salon, that packs a punch.  They have two pedicure stations, two manicure stations, and one hair station.  The décor is simple, yet elegant with soft spa music playing in the background.  It’s impeccably clean and the receptionist is very charming and engaging.  And although their English is not that great (neither is my Spanish, with the use of a translation app, we managed).

Chedraui Grocery Store Home Delivery Service – Puerto Aventuras, Mexico

I recently had the opportunity to test the Chedraui Grocery Store Home Delivery Service.  I must admit that I had been nervous about someone else selecting my grocery items, especially fruit and vegetables.  I imagined that the person would be half asleep, just grabbing the first item they see, throw it in the cart, and that’s it. But I wanted to give it a try and see what happens.  If my fears were confirmed, no big deal, a few pesos lost.  But if my experience turned out to be positive, then I had everything to gain, especially if I found myself in a situation where I was unable to walk to the grocery store.

FMM form going digital – pilot project

CHANGE IS THE ONLY CONSTANT
.  In April and May of 2022, I wrote about changes and updates in the Multiple Migratory Format (FMM) form procedure and the 180-day limit for tourists in Mexico.  Now, the latest and greatest is that the National Migration Institute (INM) office wants to move toward a paperless system due to the continued requests by the Mexican Caribbean Tourism business to reduce INM wait times at the airport and better track visitors to Mexico.

Casa Rivieras Restaurant - Playa del Carmen, México

If you’re headed into Playa del Carmen, Mexico to shop at your nearby Sam’s Club, City Club, Centro Maya shopping center or any of the shops in the area, don’t forget to eat a good breakfast. Yes, I know you can always grab something quick at the food court in Centro Maya, but why not treat yourself to a nice patio breakfast at the Casa Rivieras Restaurant, nestled in a little strip mall between Sam’s Club and Hospiten Hospital.

MUNCHY’S SPORTS BAR – PUERTO AVENTURAS, MEXICO

You don’t have to be a sports enthusiast to enjoy the excellent food and great ambiance at Munchy’s Sports Bar, located in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico.

Although the bar is brimming with large screen televisions, pool tables, air hockey and foosball games, we have never watched a game there.  We go for the food!

UPDATE - Will I get 180 days to stay in Mexico?

DISCLAIMER: This blog post is written by PlayaWeatherman

Last month's blog post was about perhaps not getting 180 days to stay in Mexico on your Immigration Form (FMM). PlayaWeatherman flew into Cancun airport in April, 2022 and had a new experience.

Will I get 180 days to stay in Mexico?

DISCLAIMER: This blog post is written by PlayaWeatherman

There has been a lot of chatter on Facebook, TripAdvisor, and various forums about people entering Mexico and not automatically receiving 180 days written on their Immigration Form (FMM).  In the past, the Mexican immigration officials at the Cancun airport would just put 180 days on the form and stamp it…. simple.  Not anymore!

Coral Water Delivery Service - Puerto Aventuras, Mexico

I am so excited about this relatively new water delivery service here in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico.  For several years, I have been purchasing my garrafons of water from the local Go-Mart, just outside the gate.  I use a shopping cart to carry the water and take my empty bottles back and forth.  This has not been a big deal since I live so close to the gate; in fact, it’s been extremely convenient.

Chedraui Grocery Store – Lottery Ticket Scam

My husband and I recently went grocery shopping at Chedraui Grocery Store, in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico (they have several locations, but I am only speaking of the location in Puerto Aventuras).  We have shopped there for several years, and for as long as we can remember, the cashiers have always attempted to sell us lottery tickets.

There’s nothing like having an enjoyable, relaxing, and leisurely breakfast.  Here in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico there are several options.  But today, we are focusing on Navajo y Vainilla.
