Last month's blog post was about perhaps not getting 180 days to stay in Mexico on your Immigration Form (FMM). PlayaWeatherman flew into Cancun airport in April, 2022 and had a new experience.
I filled out the FMM online ahead of time. In the past, it automatically placed 180 days in the “Temporalidad” box at the bottom of the form. This time it just placed some dots.
When I went through the National Institute of Immigration (INM) line at the Cancun airport they still gave me 180 days (see photo)... well, at least it looks like “180” to me! So maybe I was just lucky, not sure…so definitely still pay attention as described in last month’s blog post.
Here are a few links where this issue is discussed. If you google “FMM 180 days in Mexico” you will see dozens of links with discussion of this issue.
