My husband and I are both chickens when it comes to going to the dentist, but we force ourselves to go three times a year. For the last 10 years we have been going to our dentist in Playa del Carmen, but with our recent move to Yucatan, we needed to find a new bilingual dentist and fast.
After reading reviews on Google and social media, we decided to give Dra. Fernanda Solis a try. We sent Dra. Solis a WhatsApp message requesting our appointments. She responded quickly and we agreed on a date and time. Then we waited anxiously for our appointment...remember, I said we were chickens 😢.
We both had our checkups and cleanings and were extremely impressed. It was our first time ever getting our cleaning with absolutely no discomfort. Dra. Fernanda uses a combination of dental instruments and tools with water to care for your teeth and gums. There is lots of water, so if you normally wear cosmetics, I recommend you skip it for your dental appointment or apply your make-up after you are done. Trust me when I tell you it will save you and the dentist a lot of grief 😥.
We already have our next appointments scheduled for follow-up care and our regular check-up and cleaning later this summer. Oh, did I mention she speaks perfect English? You will have no problems communicating or asking questions. In fact, she may speak better English than some English speakers and is now our new dental provider.
