Day Trip - Mia Reef Resort

We treated ourselves to an amazing day pass at the Mia Reef Isla Mujeres.  The day was adventurous and indulgent, but well worth it.  The beach is breathtakingly beautiful, with an abundance of loungers to lure you into a relaxed state and a nap.  In addition to the wonderful loungers, they also have umbrellas that can be placed and positioned wherever your heart desires.  Just let the attendant know, and your wish is their command.  And if you’re not ready to chill on a lounger, there are plenty of other comfortable seating areas around the resort; all to accommodate you!

And if you somehow get bored just chillin’ in the sun (or under your umbrella) you can kayak around the resort, play bingo or board games, challenge someone to a game of pool, or join in a beach volleyball match, or take a dip in the pool.

One thing is for certain, you will not go hungry!  They serve a buffet breakfast until 11:30 a.m. and buffet lunch from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.   You can enjoy your meal in the air-conditioned dining room (if you need to cool off), or you can take your food to an outside table or your beach lounger.  And just in case you get hungry between meals, they have a snack bar open all day that includes burgers, hot dogs, chips, salads…something for everyone from meat lovers to vegans.  They even have an outdoor grilling area with succulent kebabs and other goodies!  The service is impeccable and the ambiance is exemplary.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day and cannot wait to go back again.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
1. Cost – The price of the day pass per person is: $810 pesos (or $45 USD).  And, as of this writing, Mia Resort does not sell weekly, monthly or annual passes.

2. Identification – We recommend bringing more than one type. You will need it at the front-desk during check-in to receive your day-pass wrist band, and one beach towel. At the end of your day, you will need to return your wrist band to the front desk.  In addition, if there are other amenities that you participate in, you will need to leave an I.D. for it.

3. Restroom and showers – There are plenty of restrooms and showers around the resort to accommodate you.

4. Hours of operation:  9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

5. Food and Beverages – Buffet style food service. Domestic drinks and non-alcoholic beverages are unlimited.
