We started planning the event several months in advance given the geographical locations of all the guests. Afterall, everyone needs lot of time to plan schedules and budget…destination events are not cheap! We met with the manager of the restaurant a few times to discuss our needs; pricing and fees, table location, set-up, the servers that would be assisting throughout the event (special thanks to Jose and Victor), menu selection for food and dessert, cash bar, and decorations, etc. We even took photos of prior events we had hosted to show the manager to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted. I just can’t tell you enough what a spectacular event it turned out to be.
But before I post videos and photos, let me just say this about the band. They are phenomenal. We contacted them to inquire about their services. They have 6 to 8 band members, and you can order your package to include as many members as you like. We ordered a 3-person band (4 band members showed up) for two sets of 45 minutes each. In terms of payment, we asked if we could just pay them at the event. They were very flexible and agreed. They arrived on time, exquisitely dressed in their mariachi band attire, double checked the details of our sets to play, and got to work.
If my memory serves me right, they had as much fun as we did, and with the videos and photos from their GoPro, I would be telling the truth. They were wonderful and all our guests loved them. Everyone was up, dancing and enjoying. Even some of the people that came to the restaurant to enjoy a meal found themselves caught up in the music. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and I will cherish those memories for the rest of my life.
