In the six years I’ve had the privilege to live in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico, I’ve had the opportunity to experiment with a couple of different shopping totes.

Golf and Racquet Club in Puerto Aventuras, Mexcio
I recently received an inquiry from one of my Trip Advisor fans (a non-resident of Mexico) regarding the Golf and Racquet Club in Puerto Aventuras. The primary question my fan had was “does the golf and racquet club provide left-handed clubs?”

Internet Access Options in the Riviera Maya
Disclaimer: this blog post was submitted by PlayaWeatherman
We have explored numerous Internet access options during our time living in the Riviera Maya. Sometimes it seems like an unending quest. Depending on which neighborhood you live in, you likely have access to either Telmex or Izzi (formerly Cablemas) for Internet service via phone/cable TV lines.

JAM-PACKED SUMMER OF FUN!!!
Remember the last day of school when you were a kid? School days were over, and the summer was ahead of us for fun with friends and family! Camp, family vacations in the car, reunions, picnics, beaches, dances, parties, etc. But what I remember most and was always fascinated with were the reports we were asked to read aloud and share with our classmates, upon our return to school. These reports were fun summaries of what all us kids had been up to during the summer.

What we love about living in Riviera Maya, Mexico
We were recently chatting with some friends about the possibility of them moving to Mexico. Although they have visited the area several times and have always enjoyed themselves, they had not thought about pulling up stakes in their home country of Canada and moving to Mexico, until recently. The conversation turned to Mexico and all the things we like about living here. So, here’s a list of things we like about Mexico. They are not in any particular order, just areas that really stand out for us and make living here a blessing.

Athens Gate Beach Resort - San Pedro, Belize
I have a confession. After reading all the 5-star reviews on Trip Advisor about this beach resort, I started to wonder if these stellar reviews were the truth. Yes, as a consumer of travel services, I always want to read exceptional ratings, but I’m always a little skeptical…as if to say, “is this too good to be true?”

Carlos' n Charlie's Restaurant - Cancun, Mexico
Carlos’ n Charlie’s is a casual, fun and friendly restaurant, with the ambiance for all to enjoy. Although they do not have outdoor seating, we were able to sit at the open window table so that we could enjoy our meal while taking in all the sights and sounds of Mexico.

Ventura Park – Amusement and Water Park in Cancun, Mexico is fun for everyone. Although the park is small, it is BIG on fun. Their primary focus is on water features with water slides and wave pools. You can also rent their large and colorful inner tubes to make your water adventures even more fun.
But if you are not into water…don’t worry, Ventura Park has got you covered. There are a few rides, go-karts, ziplines, virtual attractions, restaurants, bars, and a gift shop.

Playground for Grown-Ups - Wheelie Trails ATV Jungle Adventure - Playa del Carmen, Mexico
When I was a kid, I loved playing outdoors and having fun. With the warm sun on my face and not a care in the world…it was all about the laughter and freedom.
So as an adult, I am always my happiest when I can play outside, laugh and have fun. And that’s exactly the experience we had when my husband and I went on an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) tour with Wheelie Trails ATV Jungle Adventure in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. In fact, before we could even finish our tour, we were already making plans to go again. But this time, forget about sharing and taking turns driving, we each want to drive our own ATV.

Sam’s Club Optical Services – Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Use it or Lose it. It’s that time of year where our health spending account has a balance. If the balance is not used by a certain date, you lose it. We decided to use it and review a second optical service here in Mexico.
