Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingles bells rock…the holidays are here!  It’s that time of the year where the parties are endless, the food is simply delicious and your flip-flops with baubles are ready to go…it’s that time of the year to look your absolute best.  


It’s time to get your hair fried, dyed, and laid to the side.  It’s time to get your feet and toes rubbed and scrubbed until they sparkle.  It’s time to get those fingers in tip top shape and adorn them in perfect holiday colors that will add glitz to your glam.  In a word, it’s time to get BEAUTIFUL. 

There’s no better place to do that than Tu Stylo Unisex Salon (for women, men and children) at the Chedraui Shopping Plaza, located in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico with Manager, Senora Angel, who specializes in all things hair, and Senorita Guadalupe with her beautiful nail art.  

In fact, I’ve become addicted to the pedicures and shellac

manicures from Senorita Guadalupe. She does an exemplary job, takes her time and pays very close attention to details. She is a perfectionist and has started over on a nail or two, to get things just right.  I’ve had the privilege of utilizing their services since March 2017.  And the extra bonus is that it’s within walking distance to where I live. 

Tu Stylo in not large compared to some of their competitors, and they don’t have one of those vibrating, tilting, massage pedicure chairs (they have a large, comfy, cushy, chair and use a foot pedicure spa bath with heat, vibration and bubbles).  But what they lack in fancy equipment, they make up for with talent, attention to detail and exemplary customer service.

Additional information:

1. Spanish is their primary language, but they speak enough English to schedule your appointments and answer any questions. In addition, they use translation apps when needed.

2. Hours of operation: Monday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Closed Sunday.

3. Walk-ins are welcome, if time permits.

4. They provide a host of services that may not be listed, so please inquire.

5. In addition to calling, you can also make appointments by contacting them through WhatsApp. They will provide you with the number at your first appointment.

6. I recommend you take a sweater or wrap to your appointment.  They keep their thermostat on 20C (68F).

7. I love wearing my yoga sandals for my pedicures.

9. TIP: Putting a rubber band on the bottle cap of your nail polish makes for easy opening and closing.
