Membership Cards: Costco and Sam's Club

I am often asked if the Riviera Maya has any of the same stores that we have in the United States. As I rattle off the list, the same question continues to come up for two stores; Costco and Sam’s club.  Will the membership card we have from the United States, be accepted at the stores in the Riviera Maya.  The answer is YES. 


In addition, if you decide to purchase a membership card while in

Mexico, you can use the same card in the United States.  In plain, simple language, the cards are transferable.

Just a word of caution, Walmart/Sam’s Club online gift certificates purchased in the United States does not apply in Mexico. 

Both stores in Mexico are very similar in floor plan, product selection, presentation, pharmacy, food sample demonstrations, etc. as the stores in the United States…right down to the food court.

Below is a list of some of the common stores that are in the United States and Mexico.  I’m sure the list is not all inclusive, but I think you will get the picture.  Also, new stores are being planned, built and opened every day.
